1- ABOUT ECO-RAEE´S.

Eco-Raee´s is a non-profit environmental organization founded by manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment according to the provisions of the Spanish Foundation Law 50 /2002, of 26th December and in accordance with the contents of the Royal Decree Law 208/2005, of 25th February on electronical and electronic devices which applies to the Integrated Systems for the Management of wee as non-profit organizations.

2- GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The goals of the Foundation ECO-RAEE´s are set by the Foundation statutes and, in compliance with these statutes, the Foundation was set up to create and adopt an Integrated System for the Management of wee (RAEE´s) with the aim of providing support for producers and wee companies which would be affected by the Royal Decree 208/2005, of 25th February.

Thus, all resources and means from the Foundation ECO-RAEE´s, being this foundation understood as non-profit, shall be aimed at carrying out a correct wee management by the members of our Take-Back System, and at duly fulfilling the principles and the legal dispositions of the Royal Decree 208/2005, of 25th February and the European Directive 2002/96.

Foundation ECO-RAEEs has a nationwide scope of action, including Balearic Islands as well as the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.

4- SERVICES TO BE OFFERED TO THE FOUNDATION MEMBERS.

All services offered to ECO-RAEE´s foundation members are aimed at accomplishing greater efficiency with respect to their liabilities as producers and importers of electronical and electronic equipment in accordance with Royal Decree 208/2005, of 25th February and with the European Directive 2002/96.
The following are filed herewith as part of the services offered by ECO-RAEE´s :

- Technical and Legal Consulting.
- Supply chain collection logistics.
- Remuneration for waste based on market value
- Automated computer system and webpahe to support members waste management from collection points to treatment plans
- Procedures to register members in the Ministry for the Environment, Tourism and Commerce.
- Services for fulfilling the RoHs Directive and substituting hazardous components in EEE.
- Other services on our members request.

5- COLLABORATION AGREEMENTS AND PRIVATE OR STATE SUPPORT.

The foundation ECO-RAEE´s has signed support agreements with several Professional Associations of the electronical and electronic sector for waste collection. Among them, we shall mention:

• Agreement with the Valencian Association of Computer Shops. (AVINFO)
• Agreement with the Technical Services Association. (ASETECO)
• Agreement with the Large Household Appliances Shops Association. (COMELEC)
• Agreement with the Spanish Recovery Federation (FER), which includes the main treatment plants and WEEE take-back systems nationwide.
• Agreement with the Valencian Government for collection and recovery of weee located in the clean points located in the Valencian Community.
• Contracts with:

  • Valencia Chamber of Commerce and member of the Industry and Environment Comission.
  • Technological and Research Institutes such as ITACA, ITE and AIMME as well as by the European Center of Innovative Companies (CEEI Valencia) and the Valencian Institute of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (IMPIVA).
  • Hazardous and non-hazardous Waste Management Association (AGENOPE)
  • Catalunya Recovery Association.
  • Waste Recovery Association of the Canary Islands
• The support of Technological and Research Institutes like ITACA, ITE and AIMME, such as the European Center for Valencian Innovate Companies (CEEI) related with the Institute of Middle and Small Valencian Companies (IMPIVA).
• The support of the Valencian Chambre of Commerce, and member of the Environment work groups.
• Association of dangerous and non-dangerous partners in Valencian Community (AGENOPE) and Catalonia (Gremi de Recuperadors de Catalunya) and Canary Islands.

ROHS DIRECTIVE.

According to the RoHs Directive and the Law R.D. 208/2005 dated 25th of February, it is mentioned the liability to replace the dangerous components from the electronic and electrical devices. The Foundation ECO-RAEE’s joined different Technological and Research Institutes helps to accomplish the requirements to our already members through the following web sites:
